Leo Torres, April 8, 1927 - November 24. 2002 a native New Mexican and former resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2002 in Tucson, AZ. Born and raised in Artisia, NM, Mr. Torres retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs before moving to Arizona in the 1980's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Josephine Torres of Albuquerque; and three brothers, Dave Torres and Salomon Urban of Artisia, and Sam Torres of California. He is survived by his sisters, Connie Blankenship, Elsie Gomez and husband, Gilbert, Cuca Torres, Flavia Cota, Josephine Molinar, and Lila Torres, all of New Mexico, and Angie Dorado and Sofie Navarette of California; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services pending at a later date, to be held in Hagerman, NM.
