Pauline S. Castillo age 81. On November 29, 2002, Pauline Salinas Castillo answered Our Lords calling. Mrs. Castillo was born on October 19, 1921 in Deming, NM. She devoted her life to helping others and worked at UNM Hospital as a Surgical Technician for 20 years. Pauline Castillo continued as a caregiver later in life at St. Mary¯s Rest Home, until the debilitating disease of diabetes prevented her from continuing. During her 30 years of marriage, she bore six loving children, Albino Carlos Castillo, Rachel Calderon, Carolina Castillo, Alicia Torres, Mary Isabel Marks, and Paul Edward Castillo. Her siblings are John Salinas, Lucy Passmorre, Mary S. Rivera, Sue Gibson, Gene Salinas and Mary Louise Bland. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, Suzy Serna, Edward Castillo, Andrea Diaz, Alyson Recovo, Renee Castillo, James Castillo, Rebecca Amezquita, Paul Calderon, Rafael Torres, Isabel Torres, Jessica Castillo, Sarah Castillo, Richard Calderon, and Matthew Castillo. Her 17 great-grandchildren include Dereck Serna, Samantha Serna, Aaron Taylor, Ashleigh Serna, David Recovo, Priscilla Castillo, Jacqueline Diaz, Paulina Castillo, Alexis Recovo, Alyssa Navarro, Daniel Recovo, Andrew Castillo, Kiana Diaz, Anissa Castillo, Desiree Amezquita, Kylie Castillo Brooks, and Alyssa Fragoso. Pauline lived 81 years on this earth, gracefully, lovingly, and faithfully. She will be both remembered and missed by all those who were blessed by her presence. Pauline was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW., where all services will be held, beginning at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. Pauline Castillo will be laid to rest in her home town of Deming, NM., on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at 1:30pm, at the city cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Robert Calderon, Edward Castillo, James Castillo, Paul Calderon, Rafael Torres, Richard Calderon, Dereck Serna, and David Recovo.
