Genevieve Mercurio Kuehner was called to her eternal reward on November 29, 2002. Born in Newark, N.J., on March 27, 1927, Genevieve was a resident of Rio Rancho since 1980. Genevieve will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Joseph. Her son, Gordon Paul, preceded her in death. Her daughter Carol Ford and husband, Mark of Grand Junction, Colo.; her son, the Rev. Joseph of California; and her two grandsons Neil and Sean are grieving this sudden loss. Genevieve was a devoted wife and mother. She most recently was the primary caregiver to her husband who is struggling with cancer. Genevieve will always be remembered as that Italianmother, inviting her family to the table to eat heartily of hermacaroni with gravy.Her simplicity, kindness and love will be her lasting testatment. Genevieve was especially devoted to her friend, Bernadette Vojtech. Special thanks from the Kuehner family to Joe and Berna Vojtech. Rosary will be Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE in Rio Rancho. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas. Entombment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE at Meadowlark Lane.
