Obituary for Noble

Ferne D. Noble entered peacefully into rest at Washington Hospital in Fremont on November 6, 2002. A devoted homemaker and mother, she was born in Binghamton, NY, on September 18, 1913. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years prior to moving to Hayward in 1999 to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont and the Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque and the Daughters of the Nile. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn B. Noble, in 1997, she is survived by her son, David, J. Byron of Hayward; daughter, Sally Gervin of Tennessee; stepdaughter, Donna Lee of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed. There will be a Memorial Service for Mrs. Noble on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John, 318 Silver Ave. SW, Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her memory to Shriner's Crippled Children's Transportation Fund, Ballut Abyad Temple, PO Box 8410, Albuquerque, NM 87198.
