Obituary for Garcia

Jose Carlos Gaspar Garcia III, 51, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2002. He was born on April 3, 1951 in Tome, NM, he was the second child of Gaspar Garcia Jr. and Luciana Romero Garcia. He was preceded in death by his father Gaspar Garcia Jr. Mr. Garcia is survived by his mother Luciana Garcia; son Richard Torres Garcia; daughter Bernadette Garcia De Rodriguez and husband Martin; brothers Vincent Garcia and wife Patsy, Rosario Garcia and Joshua Garcia; sisters Sadie Garcia-Marrufo, Lucia Garcia Cook and husband John, Martina Garcia Kirk and husband Ted, Crista Garcia and husband Louis, Israela Garcia, Joanetta Garcia Hanlon and husband Glen and Felissa Garcia Kelley and husband Patrick; grandchildren Luna Victoria, Miguel Angel and Marina Soledad Rodriguez-Garcia and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends. He was well known for his mastery in carpentry, wood carving, adobe designing and building as well as his amazing ideas, thoughts and perseverance in life's struggles. He delighted in writing down and reciting dichos, two of which were:"cada mente es un mundo" and"cada chango a su colupmio" which he believed. His impetuous and witty nature remained with him throughout his life and affected others in a positive and motivating way. Above all of this Gaspar's love of God and enduring hpe in family unity and his love for his family was most evident. We love you Gaspar in the name of Jesus. Mr. Garcia will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Santiago Marrufo, Alejandro Marrufo, David Garcia, Joshua Garcia, Jacob Olson, Timothy Kirk, Elias Garcia and Adem Garcia.
