IN MEMORIAM MICHAEL WAYNE GALLEGOS Michael Wayne Gallegos, 50, died Wednesday in Portland, Oregon. Born on January 4, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado, he had been a resident of Vancouver since 1986. Mr. Gallegos was a jeweler, goldsmith and 1979 graduate of The Paris School of Jewelry. He was the proprietor of Michael's Fine Jewelry in Vancouver. He studied Martial Arts and held a black belt in Kenpo, for which he was titled Yadansha. He was also schooled in Judo, Kajukkenbo, Wingchun Gungfu and was working on certification in Kosho. Mr. Gallegos is survived by his wife Maureen, at home in Vancouver and two children; Amanda Knox of Austin, Texas and Devan Gallegos of Seattle, Washington. He has two sisters in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Janie Wolf and Cristine King, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and an extended family throughout New Mexico, Arizona and Arkansas. He will be loved and missed by all. A Mass in his remembrance will be said Sunday, 11:00 a.m. on December 8, 2002 at the St. Mary's Church in Ojo Caliente, N.M. Followed by a memorial service at his Aunt Lupe Sena's home.
