Steven Richard Jakymiw, Jr. 45, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 29 years, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2002. Steven was born April 19, 1957 the son of Steven and Alice Jakymiw, Sr. in New York City, New York. Steven came to New Mexico from New York. He had worked in construction before his death. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice in December of 2000. Steven is survived by his father, Steven, Sr. of Rio Rancho; two children, Stephanie Jakymiw of Albuquerque, and Michael Mitchell Jakymiw of Rio Rancho; one brother, Michael Jakymiw and wife, Denise of Rio Rancho; niece, Danielle; and nephew, Jason. Steven will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private Services were held at Vista Verde Mortuary.
