Dolores C. Garcia, 68, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2002. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Her strongest passion was her loving granddaughters, great-granddaughters, and great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo B. and Crucita B. Chavez; her two sons, Patrick Thomas and Joey A. Garcia; her brother, Matias Chavez; and her sister, Susan Peralta. Dolores is survived by her loving daughter, Marcella Maldonado and husband, Adolfo; her granddaughters, Twila Maldonado and her companion, Tony Garcia; Mary Ann Maldonado and her companion, Anthony Gonzales, all of Jarales; Mellissa and Kristen Garcia; and Bernice Montoya, all of Belen; four great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; one brother, Albino R. Chavez of Albuquerque; and her brother-in-law, Demeterio Peralta of Barstow, CA. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
