Obituary for Morgan

Walter D. Morgan, Jr., affectionately known as"Buddy", age 78, died Saturday December 7, 2002. Walter was born on February 23, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Walter Sr. and Jean Ethel Morgan. Walter was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Walter was retired from the U.S. Air Force and from United States Fidelity and Guarantee Co. He lived in Albuquerque for 34 years. Walter was a member of the Masonic Lodge Temple #6. He volunteered in the community for the Teen Crisis Hotline, his church, Good Neighbor Fund and the Council of International Visitors. Survivors include his devoted wife, Anneliese M. Morgan; daughters, Barbara A. Morgan of Embudo, NM, Jean Marie Vance of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Annelie Gallea of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Matthew Vance of Austin, TX and Eric Gallea of Gallup, NM. Walter was a humorous, generous and outgoing man who loved his family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002 at St. Luke Lutheran Church 9100 Menaul Blvd NE with Rev. David E. Cruson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wildlife Center P.O. Box 246, Espanola, NM 87532. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. is handling arrangements.
