Obituary for Frank

Ralph E. Frank, 86, died peacefully after a long illness on Friday, November 15, 2002 in Manchester, CT. He is survived by his wife, Barbara F. Frank of Manchester, CT; son, William M. Frank; daughter-in-law, Kathleen A. Frank; grandsons, Devin J. Frank and Liam M. Frank of St. College, PA; brother, Austin C. Frank; nephew, Lawrence L. Frank and family of Albuquerque; and niece, Janet A. Olsen and family of Tustin, CA. Mr. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Menaul Frank of Albuquerque, to whom he was married for 34 years. He was born in Albuquerque in 1915 to Harry V. Frank and Frances (Orbin) Frank. Mr. Frank graduated from the University of New Mexico, majoring in engineering and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 21 years. During his naval career he served as an Aerologist on aircraft carriers during WWII, the Korean War and at many naval air stations ranging from Africa to Guam. Following his retirement from the Navy he worked as a meteorologist at United Technologies of East Hartford, CT. He married his second wife, Barbara in 1978. There will be a memorial Service Saturday, December 14, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
