Erlene Swayze, 85, longtime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, S. Hayes Swayze of Albuquerque; children, Sandria Faubion and husband, Leon of Albuquerque, Neola Kay Bollman and husband, John of Manhattan, KS and Karen Sue Ferrell and husband, Don of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Faubion and wife, Erika, Renee Faubion, Gregory Stone and wife, Michelle and Jennifer LoPresto and husband, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Erik Faubion, Noel Faubion, William Faubion, Justin LoPresto, Kaylee LoPresto, Madison Stone, and Hunter Stone; and sisters, Eddie Boler of Lewiston, ID and Peggy Benedict and husband, Ben of Lewiston, ID. Originally a Texan, Erlene moved to Albuquerque in the mid 30's, where she married Hayes on November 11, 1936. In addition to raising their three daughters, she was a gracious, personable hostess in the family's restaurants. Her faith was a crucial part of her life, and she was active in her church and in the Christian Women's Club. Mrs. Swayze was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2002, 1:00 p.m., at Faith Bible Church, 9600 Central Ave. SE, with Rev. David Broersma officiating. Viewing will be held prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
