Obituary for Putman

Nuell T. Putman, passed away on December 11, 2002. Nuell was born in Big Fork, Arkansas on January 5, 1930. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Arkansas, a member of the Isaac Walton Conservatory Association, and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Peoria, IL. He was a current resident of Rio Rancho, NM and longtime resident of Peoria, IL. Nuell loved to read and enjoyed children, spending many years as a Boy Scout Leader. He was also a champion pistol marksman. Nuell was a very hard working man, devoting 35 years in the heavy equipment business. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a test engineer at Komatsu-Dresser proving grounds in Peoria, IL. Nuell was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn of Rio Rancho; children, Patricia Jones and Dennis of Rio Rancho, Mark and Terry of Peoria, IL, Rhinehart (Matt) of Rio Rancho, Tim and wife, Alison of Austin, TX; sisters, Marlene and Paul Tucker of Ft. Smith, AR, Melba Griffin of TX; grandchildren, David, Amy, Travis, Rebekka, Elizabeth, Raymond, Eve, and Julia; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Mallory, Maisy, and Benjamin; and a host of very special friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place NE, Suite 120, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
