Obituary for Graham

Helen Florence Graham, 93, a retired resident of Albuquerque for the past 15 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2002. Helen has been a resident of The Montebello on Academy for the past 12 years, where she received loving care. In 1925, Helen came to Albuquerque as a bride. She and her husband remained in New Mexico until 1939, when they moved to El Paso, TX. She lived in El Paso for almost 50 years. She was employed by the U.S. Post Office during WWII and later worked as a Secretary in the Texas School System and raised a family. In 1987, she and her husband returned to Albuquerque to retire and rejoin her large family. Helen was preceded in death by her only daughter, Donna Bissonnet; her husband, Harry H. Graham; her parents, Milo and Anna Peter; and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Wright of Albuquerque; and her brother, Leon L. Peter of Aurora, CO; her granddaughters, Vicki Hester and husband, Hank of Scottsdale, AZ and Linda Richards and husband, Dan of Austin, TX; her grandson, John Bissonnet of El Paso, TX; and former son-in-law, Ernest Bissonnet of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Scott and Holly Hester, Samantha and Wyatt Richards, and Chelsea, Josh and Hannah Bissonnet; and many nieces and nephews. Helen was a witty energetic, independent, God-fearing and loving lady. She will be sorely missed. Services will be held Monday, December 16, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
