Obituary for Archuleta

Mellie Archuleta, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, December 20, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mike R. Archuleta; daughters, Marlene Chavez and husband, Ernie, Alice Galloway, Katherine Anaya and husband, Lloyd; son, Michael Galloway; daughters, Dorothy Fernandez and husband, Mike, Patricia Archuleta; grandchildren, Lisa, Gabriel, Celine, Cody, Chelsea, Jerry, Carol, Richard, Joseph, Veronica; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Crystopher, Alexandria, Derick; sisters, Lousiana Jaramillo, Lucy Garcia and husband Eddie, Lena Peralta and husband, Florenio; brothers, Lalo Urtiga and wife, Priscilla and Horace Urtiga and wife, Pressy all of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Galloway, daughter, Lorraine Lopez and her brother, Celedon Urtiga. Mrs. Archuleta enjoyed the outdoors and loved being around her grandchildren. Throughout her life she enjoyed going to the casino with her family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Archuleta, Phillip Archuleta Jr., Ernie Carabajal, Mike Fernandez, Edward Garcia and Jerry Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Garcia Sr., and Phillip Archuleta Sr. Friend may visit French Mortuary, Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
