Mary Alice Meyers Verardo's 80+ years on this earth came to peaceful close on Thursday, December 6, 2001, in the presence of her family at the Sandia Hospice Pavilion of St. Joseph Hospital in Albuquerque. Mary was the greatest Mom who loved her kids unconditionally and supported them wholeheartedly in everything they did. She was a great soul. The grace with which she lived her life, was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was loved for her wit, her kindness, her generosity, and as someone you just enjoyed talking to about life. Mary lost the love of her life, her husband Art, in June of 2000. Mary's family includes her son, Art, his wife, Suzanne and their children, Brian and his wife Alexa, Amy, and Lisa (1979-1980); son, Robert and his wife, Bonnie Putnam Verardo; daughter, Mary Jo, her husband, Pierre Carrier and their children, Nicole and Sean all of whom loved her very much. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE, with burial to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Mary's name to Sandia Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
