Nestora Baca, 69, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 11, 2001. She was born December 6, 1931 in Torreon, NM. Nestora and her husband Jimmy resided in Estancia, NM for many years and raised their five children there. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Estancia and later at Our Lady of Fatima in Albuquerque. Nestora was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy. She is survived by her loving children, Rose Dillard and husband, Terry of San Antonio, TX; Delores Baca of Albuquerque; Peter Baca of Washington, D.C.; Paul Baca of Albuquerque; Christy Baca-Jones and husband, Brian of Salt Lake City, UT; grandson, John Dillard; four sisters and six brothers, Monica Chavez; Manuel Chavez; Cecelia Sanchez; Juanita Chavez; Alonzo Chavez; Carmel Chavez; Pablo Chavez; Juan Chavez; Joe Chavez and Susie Perea; and a very large extended family. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 12:00 noon, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Estancia Municipal Cemetery, Estancia, NM. Pallbearers will be Manuel Chavez, Alonzo Chavez, Carmel Chavez, Pablo Chavez, Juan Chavez and Joe Chavez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE, 87110. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
