Rosa B. Chavez, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed from this earth on Thursday, March 15, 2001 to begin her new journey. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Chavez; and daughter, MaryAnn Chavez. She is survived by her children, Cecilia Padilla and husband, Roger Sr., Arturo Chavez, and wife Barbara, Leonard Chavez, and wife Dolly, Tony Chavez and wife, Mary, Carmen Benavidez and husband, Orlando, Sofie Giron and husband, Gene, Robert Chavez and wife, Esther, Moises Chavez and wife, Julia , Angie Hutson and husband, John. Rosa had many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and will always be remembered for her loving and forgiving nature. Pallbearers will be Ronald Padilla, Donald Padilla, Eric Giron, Robert Lee Padilla, Gary Padilla and Juan Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny and Tony Chavez. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, with Deacon Chavez reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, with Father Jose Hernandez, Celebrant. Interment will follow Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Peralta.
