Obituary for Stearley

Dorothy Stearley, 82, a 12-year resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, March 8, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Jim Stearley and wife, Ginny of Duncansville, PA and Bob Stearley and wife, Diane of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Kathy Stearley of Tulsa, OK; brother, Robert Scheeler of Bartlesville, OK; sisters, Barbara Kimberling of Lincoln, NE, Marilyn Allen of Tyler, TX, and Betty Jarvis of Heidriek, KY; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard and a granddaughter. Mrs. Stearley was a member of Hoffmantown Church. She was a former member and officer of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Stearley was choir director for many years at First Baptist Church in Gibbon, NE. She and her husband owned and operated the Sterle Restaurant, Motel, and gas station in Gibbon, NE for many years. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, and a wonderful caring mother. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2001, 4:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
