Obituary for Chavez

Mr. Rumaldo M. (Archie) Chavez, 50, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 15, 2001. Mr. Chavez is the beloved husband of 30 years to Pearl Chavez. He is also survived by two daughters, Veronica Chavez and Elizabeth Chavez; one son, Dominic Chavez; two sisters, Rosie Chavez and Debbie Felten and husband Mike; two brothers, Dickie Chavez and wife Rosa and David Chavez and wife, Dana; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Stella Trujillo; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez fought a courageous battle with cancer, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam Era. He loved hunting, fishing and loved the great outdoors. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 9:00 a.m. Brother Bobby Trujillo, officiating. Pallbearers will be Eddie Trujillo, Andres Chavez, Frank Lujan, Ron Faris, Frank Ramiaez and Louis Lujan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mario Ramiaez, Carlos Chavez, Dave Lujan, Jose Chavez, Leopoldo Chavez, Steve Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Mike Felten and Gabriel Trujillo. Interment will follow at the Sandia Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors by the D.A.V. Chapter #3. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
