Stella M. Martinez passed away at her home while surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 18, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife and mother. Stella is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Martinez Brem and husband, Joseph, of Albuquerque; a very special granddaughter, Deborah Zack and husband, Brian, of Rio Rancho; and one great-grandson, Tyler Samuel Zack, also of Rio Rancho. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Martinez in 1993. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Palm Chapel, Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School NE. Pastor Larry Wright will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers are Brian Zack, Jacob Sanchez, Ryan Course, Gerald Ortiz, Chris Gauna, David Yount and David Course. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is in charge of her arrangements.
