Obituary for Burke

Mildred Burke, 87, was called home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2001. She was born in El Rancho, New Mexico in 1913 and had lived in Albuquerque for 46 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Burke and daughter, Isabel. She is survived by her daughter, Polly Wade and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; three sons, Albert Burke, Jr. and wife, Julie, George Burke and wife, Leslie, all of Albuquerque, and Chris Montoya and wife, Viola of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and by numerous relatives and friends. Our mother was the strength that bonded our family together with her love and wisdom. She will live in our hearts until we meet again. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at The Church Of The Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, with Fr. Dennis Garcia as Celebrant. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE.
