Obituary for Arvizo

Christine (Chris) R. Arvizo, 54, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 19, 2001 after a long illness. Chris was born in El Rito, NM, and was a resident of Albuquerque. She was a parishioner of Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Guadalupanos. Chris enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Madrid. She is survived by her loving children, Jackie Romero and husband, Peter of Phoenix, AZ, Eileen Ulibarri and husband, Leonard of Santa Fe, Annette Ybarra and ex-son-in-law, Leroy, Jeannette Orozco and husband, Adrian, Joey Encinias and Christina, Ricky Encinias and Molly all of Albuquerque; her precious grandchildren, Summer, Katlyn, Bianca, Patrick, Dominic, Jonathan, Danny, Mandi, Mark, Matthew, Eric and Bryan. Also surviving are her mother, Rose Madrid; two brothers, Leonard Madrid and wife, Mercy of Albuquerque, Tommy Madrid and wife, Linda of Rio Rancho; long time friend, Rita Romero of Santa Fe; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Chris will be greatly missed by her loving family and those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be today from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. this evening. Mass of Christian Burial is pending and will be announced. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Leonard Ulibarri, Peter Romero, Adrian Orozco, Leroy Ybarra, Archie Vigil and Phillip Zamora. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary 9420 Fourth St., NW 898-3160.
