Rosa Perez Hernandez, 94, a long time Albuquerque resident went home to the Lord on February 16, 2001. She is survived by her son, Joe Perez; daughters, Frances Cuellar and husband, Arturo, and Enedina De La Fuente; the grandchildren she raised, Roxanne Perez, Alfred Perez, and Delma Nunez, by her other grandchildren, Michelle Zaina, Mark Cuellar, Deidre Cuellar, Michael Cuellar, James De La Fuente, Denise De La Fuente and Dolores Carr; her great-grandchildren, Marisa, Joey, Kayla, Louis, Alex, Adam, Desi, Loren, Christian, and Olivia. She is also survived by her sister, Estefana Gallegos. Rosa P. Hernandez was a woman of strength, courage and perseverance. Her strong character and unique humor will be cherished and missed. Thank you, Rosa, for showing us all how to love and live life to the fullest. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Garcia Mortuary, in the Stover Chapel. Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m., also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be James De La Fuente, Alfred Perez, Michael Cuellar, Mark Cuellar, Arturo Cuellar, and Tony Mares. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222.
