Leon H. Cary, 59, a resident of Belen, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2001. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas. He retired from the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas as a Lt. Correctional Officer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona, in 1999. Leon is survived by his wife of two years, Naureen of Belen; one son, Lloyd and his wife, Heather of Belen; four grandchildren, Jonathan; Thomas; Alyssa; and Andra. He is also survived by his father, Leo, of Truth or Consequences. Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at 3:30PM at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas. The family request that donations be sent to the Albuquerque Pregnancy Center, 2200 Menual Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, in Leon's name.
