Obituary for Watts

Virginia M. Watts, 79, of Mountainair, New Mexico passed away on Friday, June 29, 2001 at her home in Mountainair. Virginia was born on June 6, 1922 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Alpha Omega and Lenna (Lilley) Corliss. Virginia married O.T."Bud" Watts on September 23, 1939. Bud preceded her in death in 1992. Virginia lived in Mountainair over 73 years. Virginia was very active in the Assembly of God Church in Mountainair, she was President of the Women's Ministries of Assembly of God for many years, and a Sunday School Teacher, and was very active in the Mountainair Senior Citizens, she was involved with the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study Fellowship. She is survived by three sons, Marvin C. Watts and his wife Peggy of Yoder, WY., Orvel G. Watts and his wife Doreen of Mountainair, Gary L. Watts and his wife Diane of Mountainair; one brother, Jimmy Corliss and his Dorothy of Mountainair; and one uncle, Charles Corliss of Springfield, OR; ten Grandchildren; sixteen Great Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews. Services are scheduled for Visitation on Sunday, July 1, 2001 at 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., and on Monday, July 2, 2001 at 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., at The Assembly of God Church in Mountainair. Burial will follow the service at Mountainair Cemetery. Bro, James Pinckard and Bro. Charlie Richards will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Don Watts, Duane Watts, James Watts, Marvin Watts, Shawn Watts, and Travis Watts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Booth, Jimmy Corliss, Leonard Corliss, Ronnie Frazier, Randy Sanchez, and Skye Strong. Arrangements have been trusted to the care of Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair.
