Obituary for Taylor

Elden V. Taylor, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, June 28, 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Rita Barteck and husband, Joseph of Hixson, TN and Adelle Kobs and husband, James of Edgewood, NM; eight grandchildren, Curtis Barteck, Stacey Barteck, Katrina Lum and husband, Russ, William Barteck, Marie Barteck, Donna Bushey, Jarrett Kobs and wife, Brenda, and Daniel Kobs and wife, Nicole; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Taylor and wife Donnavieve and Don Taylor and wife, Phyllis; and sister, Betty Somerville and husband, Larry. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Beulah, in 1997. Elden and Beulah moved from their home in Lansing, MI to Albuquerque in 1947 with their two daughters. Elden was very active in the real estate business in the Albuquerque area and was a past president of the Albuquerque Board of Realtors. He was also a past president of the Heights Lions Club as well as a member of the Elks Club and the Ballut Abyad Shrine. Elden enjoyed traveling around the country with Beulah in their motor home. He was also fond of performing for friends on one of his electronic keyboards. A memorial service will be held for Elden Monday, July 2, 2001, 4:00 p.m., at Mountain Christian Church, 12242 Hwy North 14 in Cedar Crest. Friends are encouraged to attend and share their memories of Elden and Beulah with each other.
