Obituary for Overson

Ray Emmit Overson, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Thursday, June 28, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ila Overson of Albuquerque; daughter, Carolyn Yoss and husband, Charles of Las Vegas, NV; four sons, Ronald R. Overson and wife, Sharon of Albuquerque, Michael Overson and wife, Pam of Overton, NV, Dwane Overson of Albuquerque and Frank Overson and wife, Donna of Moriarty; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Overson was preceded in death by his daughter, Lila. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Mr. Overson was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints- Sage Ward. He was a carpenter for 50 years and a member of Carpenters Union Local 1319. Mr. Overson was an avid beekeeper, hunter and fisherman. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Sage Ward, 813 Sage SW, with David Smith, presiding. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aric Overson, Cord Overson, Kristopher Overson, Curtis Yoss, Dwane Overson, Michael Keaton and Stephen Close. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit c/o Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, P.O.
