LaLa Duran, 96, went home to the Lord on June 29, 2001. She is the daughter of Fernando and Agueda Perea. She is survived by son, Rudy Duran and wife, Elsie; nine grandchildren Becky, Rachael, Roberta, Rosella, Rudolph, Gina, Roses, Ruby and Michelle; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Fred Duran; and grandson, Michael Duran. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitation for Mrs. Duran will be held Monday, July 2, 2001 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 3, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Larry Muro, Joe Abeyta, Nick Martinez, John Olguin, Gilbert Sisneros, Blake Garcia.
