Obituary for Hooper

John Christian Hooper II died on June 26, 2001 at the age of 37. He is survived by his children, Jeff and Kaitlin Hooper, both of Albuquerque; his mother, Evelyn Hooper of Albuquerque; three brothers, Scott Hein and wife, Ellen of Lubbock, TX, Steve Hooper and wife, Jolynn, and Fred Hooper and wife, Carol, all of Albuquerque; a sister, Adele Montez of Albuquerque; nieces and nephews, Tracey, Jocelyn, Tim, Eric, Amy, Craig, Chanz, Shayna and Patrick; and special friend, Carol Luthy. John worked in various construction related jobs and was excited about a new job he had just undertaken. John was extremely proud of his children, Jeff and Katie and loved them very much. Their mother Mary has nurtured and cared for them and is largely responsible for their successful upbringing. One of John's greatest joys was driving his Model T, which he toured through Old Town this past weekend. John will always be greatly loved and missed. Memorial Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2001 at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating.
