Obituary for Adams

Phil Adams, 65, left this world on June 25, 2001 while doing what he most enjoyed, fishing with his family. Phil had been ill for several months and was recently diagnosed with cancer. a battle he no longer has to wage. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on June 11, 1936 and was raised on "Cider Hill" in Edgewood, NM by his parents, Frank and Fay (Guest) Adams along with his brothers, Dickey, Jerry and Donny. He attended school in Stanley and Moriarty, NM. Phil was a truck driver for 30 years and had the distinguished honor of receiving the award for "3,000,000 Accident-Free Miles" before retiring in 1986 to enjoy hunting fishing. His parents and his brother, Dickey preceded him into a better life many years ago. He has left a tremendous legacy of family, friends and great memories. Surviving are a loving family consisting of his great friend and fishing buddy, ex-wife, Janet; daughter, Leslie Markham and husband, Bruce, grandchildren, Mace, Amy Markham and husband, Matt Sandoval, great-grandchildren, Jordan Rainey and Evey Rose; grandchildren, Seth Markham and wife, Mika, great-granddaughter, Delaney and grandson, Eric; son, Mark Adams and wife, Kathy, grandchildren, Aimee Byers, great-grandson, Chance, grandson, Phillip Adams, great-grandson, Luke and grandson, Jake Adams; daughter, Melissa Adams, granddaughters, Amber Sanchez and husband, Rene and Nicole Klem. All of whom will be sharing many stories and great memories of their dad and grandpa for many generations to come. There will be a celebration of Phil's life on Saturday, June 30, 2001 2:00 p.m. at his home on Robin Court in Edgewood, NM.The time has come for parting And I must leave and go When love remains in parting Leaving is hard, I knowWe've had our days, we've had our ways We've laughed and loved and lived I've fought and cried, sought and tired 'Til I had nothing left to giveI wish you to forget the bad times And only recall the good I know it's in your nature To forget just what you shouldI've had my bouts, I've had my doubts I've quit and called it a day Think of me and wish me peace I'll be with you along the way
