Obituary for Lajeunesse

Manuel A. LaJeunesse, 80, went home to the Lord on July 10, 2001. He is the son of the late Silvano and Manuelita LaJeunesse. He was involved in serveral ministries including a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 1953. He was an active church group member for Holy Rosary Catholic Church and several other Catholic Churches in the surrounding area. He was also a member of the Los Volcanos Senior Center. Mr. LaJeunesse was in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Pacific area during World War II. He is preceded in death by his sons, Santiago and Michael LaJeunesse. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Abelina LaJeunesse; sons, Isidro LaJeunesse and wife, Elva, Cesar LaJeunesse, Robert LaJeunesse, Rudy LaJeunesse, Victor LaJeunesse and wife, Kim and Jimmy LaJeunesse and wife, Theresa; daughters, Mela LaJeunesse, Thelma Magana and husband, Danny, Georgia Ramirez and husband, Salvador, Joyce Tapia and husband, Lloyd, Bernadette LaJeunesse, Jeanette Segura and husband, Gene and Annette LaJeunesse; 40 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one unborn great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations for Mr. LaJeunesse will be held Friday, July 13, 2001 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 13, 2001 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 14, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons Isidro LaJeunesse, Cesar LaJeunesse, Robert LaJeunesse, Rudy LaJeunesse, Victor LaJeunesse, and Jimmy LaJeunesse. Honorary Pallbearers will be Isidro LaJeunesse Jr. and Michael LaJeunesse Jr.. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW. 243-5222
