Mr. Waldo Armijo went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2001. Mr. Armijo was born on January 4, 1919 in Golden, NM. He was a Veteran of World War II and a member of the DAV. Mr. Armijo was retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools. He is survived by his wife, Matilda Armijo; stepson, Matthew Jaramillo; stepdaughters, Theresa Roach and Catherine Jaramillo; sister-in-law, Ursulita Armijo; special niece, Eva Castillo; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Armijo will be held on Tuesday at the Ascension Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. with Fr. Ed Savilla officiating. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. DAV Chapter 3 will provide the miliary honors. Pallbearers will be Robert Armijo, Bernie Armijo, Fabian Arrey, Thomas Gonzales, Matthew Jaramillo and Elias Jaramillo. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
