Obituary for Saavedra

Ricardo Saavedra, 81, beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 22, 2001. Mr. Saavedra was born in Lone Poke, CA and was a resident of Albuquerque; he was a proud World War II Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Viviana Saavedra of the family home; his daughters, Carmen Wells and husband Gene of Woodward, OK, Enedine Josephine Hook and husband Charles and Rosemary Dever of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many other relatives. Visitations will be today from 6:00 p.m. till the time of Rosary which be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Final viewing will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Escobosa Cemetery in Escobosa, NM. Casket bearers will be Gilbert Montoya, Jose Prospero Montoya, Henry Montoya, Frank Ruiz, Roman Mora and Julian Mora. Honorary bearers will be Frank Ruiz, David Hook and Mark Hook. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St NW, 898-3160
