Mr. Waldo Armijo went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2001. Mr. Armijo was born on January 4, 1919 in Golden, NM. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the DAV. Mr. Armijo was retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools. He is survived by his wife, Matilda Armijo; stepson, Matthew Jaramillo; stepdaughters, Theresa Roach and Catherine Jaramillo; sister-in-law, Ursulita Armijo; special niece, Eva Castillo; four step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Armijo will be held on Tuesday at the Ascension Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Robert Armijo, Bernie Armijo, Fabian Arrey, Thomas Gonzales, Matthew Jaramillo and Elisa Jaramillo. A visitation will take place today between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Chapel. A Rosary for Mr. Armijo will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
