Walter Lee died on Wednesday June 13, 2001 in Albuquerque. He was born on November 6, 1907 in Elmer, Oklahoma, and came with his mother to Albuquerque to be near his father who was at the tuberculosis sanatorium. That same year he went to work for Valliant Printing Company where he worked for over 60 years. His wife, Anita Morelli, who he married in 1927, preceded him in death in 1981. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Ellen Smith and husband, Glenn; granddauther, Robyn Russell and husband, Rex; and a half sister, Virginia Rood.
