Memorial Service for Mary Joyce Spain, 66, of Lake Kiowa, TX, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2001, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Gainesville. Mary Joyce Spain passed away June 20, 2001, at her residence. Inurement will follow the service in St. Paul's Columbarium. She was born September 28 in Newbern, TN, daughter of Elton Darlee and Iva Sue Wright Spain. She was a graduate of the Boulevard School of Modeling in Chicago, and of the McCaullay School of Business in Albuquerque. She was a seven year Veteran of the U.S. Navy. She was a supervisor for Tektronix, Inc., retiring after 22 years. Miss Spain was a member of the American Business Women's Association, the Lake Kiowa Women's Club, the Audobon Society and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. At St. Paul's she was a member of the Daughters of the King. Mary Joyce Spain is survived by her mother, Iva Sue Dial, Chandler, AZ; a brother, Bill E. Spain, Chicago; and sister, Sue Carol Brand, Chandler, AZ. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, TX.
