James C. Smith, 51, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Los Lunas, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2001 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Mabel Smith in January 2000; his father, Virgil Collins Smith in 1969; one brother, Charles Franklin Smith; and one nephew, Michael Ray Olivas. James is survived by his loving sister, Virginia Arlene Heard and her husband, Daniel of Los Lunas; his nieces and nephews, Rhonda Rene Olivas and her husband, Ramon Jr., Kimberly Ann Simmons, Keith Charles Smith, and Tamara Kimberly Smith. Cremation has taken place with Interment to take place alongside his parents at a later date. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM.
