Mary L. Lucero was called by the Lord on June 20, 2001. She was born on December 31, 1905 in Los Alamitos, NM. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Victoria Sanchez and Estella Lucero; and brother, Abel Lucero. Mary retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in the early 70's. She is survived by her special niece, Angie Sandoval and husband, Al; brother, John Lucero and wife, Abelina; special brother-in-law, Luis Lucero; sisters, Elvira Gonzales and Agneda Lucero; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Saturday at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Sandoval, Alan Sandoval, Marlo Lucero, Anthony Martinez, Bill G. Maes and George Montoya. Honorary Pallbearers will be Moises Lucero and Neal Sanchez. Visitation for Mary will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at St. Therese Church.
