Elena E. Lopez was born August 19, 1918 and passed away June 17, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, Radolpho and Victoria, son, Charlie, and brothers, Adelaido, Eppie, Alex, and Val. Elena is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years Benedito Lopez of the family home in San Ysidro, NM.; four sons, Bobby Lopez of Denver, CO., Alfonso Lopez and Josephine Quintana of Bernalillo, NM., Anthony Lopez and Dora Quintana of Bernalillo, NM., and Reynaldo Garcia of Espanola, NM.; two daughters, Ellamae and Daniel Jaramillo of Canyon, NM., and Doris and Vernon Smith of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, Daniel Martinez, and Reymondo Martinez; three sisters, Romelia and Jo Garcia, Bessie Cano, and Martha Trujillo; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Alameda. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2001.
