Obituary for Cunningham

Edward Brant Cunningham, 74, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia, MO. He was born December 24, 1926 in Paris, TX, the son of William Barton Cunningham and Murline Tubbs Cunningham. He was married on December 11, 1971 in Las Vegas, NV, to Jeanne M. Mitchell who survives at the home. He was a graduate of Del Rio High School, Del Rio, TX, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Construction from Texas A & M University in 1949. He owned and operated Cunningham Construction Company, Inc., Albuquerque, NM, for 25 years, and later was employed with Mission Plan, Inc., in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri for seven years; American Prearranged Services, Jefferson City, MO for six years where he served as vice-president of sales; and with Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home for the past four years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the Baptist Faith; and was a member of the American Legion; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the National Rifle Association. Other survivors include a daughter, Tiffany N. Cunningham, Jefferson City, MO; twin sons, Monte Cunningham, Las Cruces, NM, and Ronny Cunningham, Albuquerque, NM; three step-daughters, Candy Candelaria, Bernalillo, NM, Vickie Shurtleff, Albuquerque, NM; and Susie Rhodes, Rio Rancho, NM; one step-son, Jack Rhodes, Dallas, TX; two granddaughters; four step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a brother, Herman L. Cunningham, Milledgeville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Gina Cunningham. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Missouri. Burial with full military honors will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2001 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Cancer Research Center, 3501 Barrywood Drive, Columbia, MO 65201-6570.
