Sybil F. Meeker, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died on Sunday, June 17, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Meg Porch and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque, Marcy Lackey and husband, Fred of Grants, NM and Marcella Powell and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Fox of Tallahasse, FL and daughter-in-law, Anne Meeker of Kennewick, WA. Sybil was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Meeker; son, Richard H. Meeker and daughter, Miriam McCluney. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church and a former Latin teacher. A very special thank you to the staff at The Cottages for all their care for Sybil. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria N.E. with, the Rev. Jan Butin, officiating.
