Obituary for Meadors

Rosie Lee Meadors, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on June 15, 2001. She was born February 11, 1919 in Haynesville, LA. Rosie was known as "Mother Dear" and will be remembered as a devoted, loving, friendly, and caring individual towards others; as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Robert Meadors of Memphis, TN, Johari Meadors, Alvin Meadors and her daughter, Venida Thompson of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mildred Henderson of Muskegon, MI; and Laylus Radford of Springhill, LA; two brothers, Arguster James of El Dorado, AR and Joseph James of Muskegon, MI; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Estella James; five siblings and five of her children.
