Obituary for Hall

Shirley Jean Chandler Hall 1939-2001 Shirley was born June 6, 1939 in Casper Wyoming to the parents of Arthur Eugene and Adele Mabel Chandler, both of whom preceded her in death. Shirley graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, WY in 1957. she was a flag twirler with the ANCHS Marching Band. She was also a member of T.O.P.S. social organization, member of Radio Guild, Future Secretaries and Future Professionals. She loved singing, dancing, and was a member of Pep Rally. She attended the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque and was a representative to the student Senate from her dormitory, Hokona Hall. She was also a member of Rally Com and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. In 1959, she married Melville H. Hall and resided in Albuquerque until 1967 when they moved to Denver, CO. She was a homemaker and then an executive secretary for the Martin Marietta Corporation. She also worked as a receptionist at Denver area hair salons. She passed away after an 11-month battle with Lung Cancer at the Hospice of Metro Denver on May 12, 2001. A Memorial Service was held on May 15, 2001 at the Ivy Chapel on the grounds of Fairmount Cemetery in Denver, CO. Her remains were cremated and will be buried in the Casper Cemetery along with her parents. Her former husband, Melville H. Hall; and her half-sister, Thelma King also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann hall of Littleton, CO; son, Mark Chandler Hall, his wife, Denise Hall of Parker, CO; brother, Eugene Chandler of Renton, WA, and his wife, Barbara; nieces, Tiffany Sanders and her husband, Steve of Woodinville, WA; Bonnie Chandler, of Renton, WA; Carol Coltrane, Casper, WY; Lee King, of California; former in-laws, John e. Hall, wife, Lucille Ruth Hall of Albuquerque, NM. Contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice-at-Home, 390 Grant Street, Denver, CO 80203.
