Obituary for Samora

Mr. David R. Samora Sr., 52, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 5, 2001. Mr. Samora is survived by his beloved wife of thirty years, Reyes; his daughter, Melisa Samora and David Gilmore; his son, David R. Samora Jr. and fiancee Cherisse Shutco; his parents, James and Ernestine Taylor; three grandchildren, David R. Samora III, Desiree Samora and Donnavon Samora; five sisters, Mary Garris, Vivian Taylor, June Baca, Pamela DeOrnales and Perfecta Salazar and husband Ernest; three brothers, James Taylor Jr. and wife Patricia, Robert Taylor and wife Verlinda and Jimmy Samora and wife Brenda; his great-aunt Ruth Perales; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Samora was a member of the Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Visitation will be Monday evening in the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW from 6:30 until 7:00 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 by Mr. Juan Sandoval. Final visitation will be in the Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:00 with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 by Father Edmund Savilla. Cremation will follow. Pallbearers will be Robert and Eddie Romero, Jason Quintana, Robert Taylor, Francisco Martinez and Jim Samora. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in charge of arrangements.
