Dellie P. Lanford, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 41 years died October 3, 2001. Dellie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ben A. Lanford Sr.; one son, Ben A. Lanford Jr. and wife, Nancy of Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Dorothy Vaughan and husband Dr. D. Michael of Ft. Collins, CO; one sister, Dorothy L. Elkins of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren, Lisa Jeffers and husband Derrick of Colorado Springs, CO, Cindy Thill and husband, Doug of Ft. Collins, CO, Douglas Lanford of Foster City, CA, Dalton Vaughan and wife, Kirsten of Ft. Collins, CO, Emily and Sarah Lanford both of Ft. Worth, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jesiah and Jamin Jeffers; Jared, Jamie and Brandon Thill; Kierra Vaughan. Dellie was a long time volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital, a member of the Ladies Golf Association of the Albuquerque Country Club. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2001 and 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Pastor Larry Pierson officiant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dellie's grandchildren, Lisa Jeffers, Cindy Thill, Douglas Lanford, Dalton Vaughan, Emily Lanford and Sarah Lanford. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Presbyterian Hospital Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Dellie is entrusted to the care of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
