| Mary Alice Vertiz, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, passed away on January 22, 2001. She and her late husband, Ruben, owned and operated Vertiz Optical in downtown Albuquerque for many years. Cremation has taken place and there are no services per the family's request. Strong-Thorne Mortuary,1100 Coal Ave SE, is in charge of her arrangements. | |
