Obituary for Isenberg

Donald E. Isenberg, age 70, a resident of Lafayette, IN died Saturday, January 13, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Isenberg is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucretia Isenberg; one daughter, LaLa Proffit; son-in-law, Charles"Chuck" Proffit of Lafayette; one sister, Margorie Rose of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Isenberg attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed at Purdue University in their Physical Plant for 22 years. He then worked in the Purdue Mail Department for eight years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching all Purdue Boilermaker sports, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and was an avid bowler. Mr. Isenberg will be given a Military Funeral, Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in Lafayette, and will be interred at Memorial Gardens, Veterans Section, West Lafayette, IN. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed.
