Monica J. Vargas, 30, a resident of Albuquerque went to be with her Savior on January 16, 2001. Monica is survived by her mother, Rose Ryan and husband, Bob; her father, Marty Vargas and wife, Cara; one son, Ryan Vargas; three sisters, Angela Ryan (peanut), Katie Vargas and Kristen Vargas; three brothers, Martin J. Vargas and wife, Toni, Matthew Vargas and Lyon Vargas; grandparents, Mela Ramirez, Mary Vargas and Martha Ryan; a special niece, Lisa; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Monica was preceded in death my her Grandparents, Ignacio Ramirez, David H. Vargas and B.J. Ryan. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tony Ramirez, officiating. Visitation will be after 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with final viewing after 10:00 a.m., Pastor Tony Ramirez, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Paula Abeita, Becky Garcia, Susie Hanna, Lisa Torrez, Cecilia Tapia and Valarie Trujeque. Honorary will be her sister, Peanut. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
