Obituary for Kromeke

Charles W. Kromeke, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rita Kromeke of Albuquerque; daughter, Teresa Nolan and husband, Mike of Peralta, NM; son, Michael B. Kromeke and wife, Jean of Deming, NM ; grandchildren, Mark J. Kromeke of North Carolina, and Matthew D. Kromeke of Albuquerque; 9 nieces and nephews in Baltimore, MD. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Werner Kromeke and Anna K. Kromeke; brother, James V. Kromeke; and sister, Elizabeth Wagner. He served in the Army Tank Corp during WWII in Northern Africa. Friends may visit on Monday, April 23, 2001 at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Bob Chabot officiating. The family would like to thank Laurel View Health Care System, Vista Care Hospice of Albuquerque, Manor Care Camino Vista and the Veterans Administration Health Care for all the attention and tender care of Charles. In lieu of flowers we ask anyone who reads this to become aware of the needs of the community of our elderly and their caretakers.
