Samuel L. Giles, Sr., MSgt U.S. Army, retired, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 19, 2001. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Upon his retirement from the military, he was employed with Sun Tran of Albuquerque for several years. Mr. Giles was also active as a 33rd Degree Mason and Shriner. He is survived by his sons, Samuel L. Giles, Jr. and Willie D. Giles, both of Albuquerque; and daughter, Shirley Giles of Littleton, CO. Visitation for Mr. Giles will be Tuesday, April 24, 2001, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, 608 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Pastor Victor Wilson officiating.
